Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully.

By creating an account or using Claristo, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Claristo Ltd.

1. About Claristo

Claristo is operated by Claristo Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Companies House No. 17153056). Contact us at contact@claristo.io.

Claristo is an AI-powered job application platform helping users tailor CVs, generate cover letters, and craft recruiter outreach messages. Available in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and Ireland.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Claristo. By using the platform you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Claristo is for personal, non-commercial use in connection with your own job search.

3. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You must not share your account with others.
  • Notify us immediately at contact@claristo.io if your account is compromised.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Plans

  • Claristo offers Basic and Pro plans with monthly and annual billing. A 3-day free Pro trial is available to all new users. No credit card required during the trial.

4.2 Payment

  • Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. By subscribing you authorise Claristo to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes for your region.

4.3 Cancellation

  • You may cancel at any time from Settings -> Plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access until that date.

4.4 Refunds

  • Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable once commenced. Annual subscriptions may be refunded pro-rata if cancelled within 14 days of purchase or renewal, in accordance with UK consumer law. Contact contact@claristo.io to request a refund.

4.5 Price Changes

  • We may change pricing at any time with at least 30 days notice before it affects your subscription. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

5. AI-Generated Content - Important Disclaimer

Please read this section carefully.

  • Claristo uses AI to generate CV content, cover letters, and outreach messages. All outputs are based solely on information you provide. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before submitting it to any employer or recruiter.
  • AI outputs are suggestions only and do not constitute professional career advice.
  • You must review all generated content for accuracy before use.
  • Claristo does not fabricate experience or qualifications, but AI systems can make mistakes. You are responsible for ensuring all submitted content is truthful.
  • Claristo does not guarantee job application success, interviews, or employment outcomes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Claristo to:

  • Upload or process another person's CV without their explicit consent.
  • Misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or identity to any employer.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Resell or commercially exploit Claristo outputs without written permission.
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls.

7. Intellectual Property

The Claristo platform, including its design, code, and prompts, is the intellectual property of Claristo Ltd. Content you upload remains your property. You grant Claristo a limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Claristo Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy upon termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
